- Research other types of jellyfish and create a video sharing what you learned using Canva or Flip (or other video tool)
- Find out about other creatures that live in estuaries, then share your research by creating your own book using Book Creator (or other book creation tool)
- Use Skype a Scientist to meet with and interview a real oceanographer or marine biologist
- Create a jellyfish costume for a robot (like Dash, Sphero, Ozobot, BeeBot, LEGO WeDo or another type) and program it to move among "seaweed" and "mangroves"
- If you have access to indoor drones (like Tello or Parrot), have students engineer a mock estuary and search/document the location of embedded Stalked Jellyfish from above
- Engineer a way to measure water temperatures and how you can keep water from gaining heat
- Interview marine science majors or professors working at a college or university near you; invite them in as guest speakers
- Create a script for the Stalked Jellyfish to tell others about its life in the estuary. Use ChatterPix (iOS app, or other voice recording tool) to make your drawing or model of the jellyfish come to life
- Create a stop motion video showing the jellyfish life cycle
- Design and build a new way for Emersyn Blake to carry her science tools into the water without them getting wet; test the designs in a small pool or other water container
- Create a "Breaking News" type greenscreen newscast to inform other about the relatively unknown Stalked Jellyfish or another endangered species (DoInk is a great iOS app to use. Flip or Canva are other great choices!)
- Create a greenscreen video demonstrating a "Day in the Life" of a Stalked Jellyfish
- Create a poster informing others about a threatened or endangered species using Canva (or other digital poster tool); collect everyone's product on a Padlet so they can see each others
- Get a copy of Emersyn Blake's Estuary Creatures Coloring and Wonderings Book to color and learn more about many creatures living in estuaries
- Take your own Wondering Notebook outside and see what interesting things you discover!
